A giant Thank-you to all who participated in the First Annual Salmon Festival. Sponsored by The North Shuswap Chamber of Commerce, it was a very successful first year. Held on Oct 6 at the North Shuswap Community Hall, there were 28 booths during the day and a well attended dance in the evening.

Everyone had a great time at both events, with networking a major focus during the day.  Businesses that participated said they made contact with a wonderful variety of people whom they might not meet otherwise.  Earthbound, our band at the dance wowed the non-stop dancing crowd and went on to win "Best New Band" at the Okanagan Music Awards!

Again a big thank-you to all participants!  We had the most wonderful food by Yak Yak's Catering, and we so appreciate the help of the Lion's Club who generously donated their time to run the bar at the dance. We hope that the community will come on board and help us put this festival on the Map!
